Matthew is a trial attorney with the BrownWinick Law Firm. Matthew practices in the area of civil and commercial litigation, counseling business owners and entrepreneurs on how to protect their rights, navigate the court system, and when necessary, traverse Iowa’s political theatre.
By way of background, Matthew is a native Iowan that grew up on a family farm just outside of Booneville, Iowa. Matthew dedicated four years at the University of Iowa to studying political science and entrepreneurship and immersed himself in the law at Creighton University School of Law, graduating cum laude. Following graduate school, Matthew served as a prosecutor in Des Moines where he cut his teeth trying misdemeanor and felony cases with the Polk County Attorney’s Office. Matthew was then called to the desert southwest where he litigated, almost exclusively, lawsuits on behalf of Arizona businesses, shareholders, officers and directors. In 2010, Matthew and his wife returned home to West Des Moines where he joined BrownWinick, a full-service law firm.
Matthew is admitted to practice in both the State of Arizona and the State of Iowa.
